What's on Campus

Some of the historic listed buildings on the site have been re-developed and the space has been re-designed for 21st century educational purposes.
North House and Rathdown House will accommodate flexible teaching and learning facilities, design studios, labs and exhibition space. The following facilities are also on site for September 2014:
Catering Facilities
The catering service, serving hot food and snacks, will be located in The Courtyard, Rathdown House. In addition, vending machines will be available in the major buildings around the campus.
Library Services
The library service will be located in Rathdown House.
Wi-Fi
The whole Grangegorman campus – inside and in the open areas – will be WiFi enabled, with excellent coverage so you can be online and in touch wherever you are on campus.
Sports Facilities
A fitness studio (suitable for dance classes, pilates, yoga, etc,) and a fitness suite (with resistance and cardio-vascular machines, strength and conditioning area, free weights, small assessment area, and reception desk), will both be provided in the Glassmonogue building. Both facilities will be co-located with associated showers / changing facilities.
Sports facilities include:
- All-weather pitch and associated floodlighting
- Tennis courts (3) / all-weather training area – floodlit
- Multi-use games area – tarmac court for basketball / kick-around
- Jogging track – with lighting, around the all-weather and turf pitches
There are also full-size turf GAA and soccer pitches at Grangegorman but these will not be available immediately as the reseeding process requires at least one full growing season before use.
Spaces for events
A small multi-purpose event space will be provided in the Bradogue building for student organisations – workshops, rehearsals, etc.
St Laurence, the Catholic Church built in 1850, has been designed as a multi-purpose space that can be used for exhibitions, rehearsals, workshops, speakers, receptions, meditation as well as religious service. The Bradogue building will also have a social area, with comfortable seating room for a pool table etc.
