RTE Nationwide
The RTE Nationwide programme on 16th May 2016 was dedicated to DIT. It looked at the transformation of the listed buildings for academic use, the landscaping of the site and the plans to bring all activities to the future DIT campus. News
What is happening on the Campus in 2016?
The first new DIT building, the Greenway Hub of 4500 m2, is currently being fitted out for occupation in March 2016. The Environmental Sustainability and Health Institute (ESHI) and DIT Hothouse will be housed in this building. 2016 will see the development of the design work of the Student Accommodation, the West Quad and Academic Hub along with commencement of construction of the Central Quad, the East Quad and the Primary School (Educate Together). Construction of the HSE Primary Care Centre will also be completed in 2016.

Grangegorman grounds open to students and public
Last week the fencing came down around the Grangegorman pitches and grounds. Within hours the local school kids had found the playground and were making themselves at home. DIT students began training on the new all-weather pitch Thursday afternoon. This has also allowed an additional gate to be opened to Prussia St via Fingal Place, along with the existing gate through the Prussia St Shopping Centre.

Radio Documentary about History of Grangegorman
Last year artist Alan Counihan mounted an historical exhibition on the occupants of St Brendan's Hospital entitled: "Personal Effects: A History of Possession" which went on display in the former ‘Long Stores’ in Grangegorman. RTE Radio has now produced a documentary entitled "Ghosts of Grangegorman", in which Alan speaks to people who can tell him what life was like inside the hospital. Former psychiatric nurses, the hospital Chaplain and patients themselves reveal the true nature of life inside the building that, in its day, was known by many names - The Grange, Brendan's, The Mental, The Puzzle Factory. Over the period of the development of the campus, news of each works package will be provided on a specific linked page for each package. Works packages will added as the project develops.

From 2014 to 2018, over half of all DIT's education and research provision will transfer to the new DIT City Centre campus at Grangegorman. Learning at Grangegorman
The development of the New DIT City Centre Campus at Grangegorman will provide several types of learning activities for staff and students over the course of the project. This section will be developed as a link to these activities as they arise.
Over time, a wide variety of learning activities will be added. For now, the following is a small selection of the variety of learning activities that have already taken place on the project.
Project Management
The DIT New City Centre Campus - Grangegorman is part of the overall Grangegorman Development Project which aims to create a vibrant new city quarter with a diverse mix of uses on the former St. Brendan's Hospital grounds in Dublin city centre. The delivery of the overall project is the responsibility of the Grangegorman Development Agency (GDA), a statutory agency established in 2006 by the Irish Government to plan for and implement a complex, multi-phased development that provides:
