DIT Product Design Student makes World Sneaker Championship shortlist

Karl Martin, a 3rd year Product Design student in DIT has made it through to the final stages of the Pensole 'World Sneaker Championship 2016.

A highly prestigious competition, the World Sneaker Championship is aimed to give aspiring young footwear designers a chance to show off their skills, with the chance to have their final designs sold at retail.   This year over 4,700 entrants from all across the world submitted a 'sneaker' sketch to compete for title of best design.  Karl’s design has made it to the final 64.  It is now up to the public to vote for their favourite design.  Karl is the first and only Irish entrant ever to have made it through to the top 64.
