DIT welcomes young students to Grangegorman Campus
Posted: 24 November, 2016Over the last four weeks, colleagues in the DIT Access & Civic Engagement Office have delivered an exciting series of workshops in DIT Grangegorman.

The workshops are part of the outreach and engagement programme for the Grangegorman Area, targeting primary and post-primary school students in the Dublin 1, 7 and 8 areas.
More than 260 young students, aged 11 – 15, visited the campus during Maths Week, Design Week, Science Week and finally this week College Awareness Week. The workshops were delivered by Access & Civic Engagement colleagues, along with DIT lecturers and their students from across the Institute. Workshops included Bridge Building, Balloon Cars, Design Concepts, Quantity Surveying, Business and Entrepreneurship, Electronics and Robots, and CSI/Forensics!
Funding from the DIT Widening Participation Fund supported the development of the workshops.
